YOU WERE AFFECTED – NOT ONLY AFFECTED
What Gets Removed to Keep the Position Intact
You were affected.
That is real.
It entered your body.
It shaped your perception.
It left a mark that does not simply disappear.
But you were not only affected.
Something else was there.
Not instead of.
Alongside.
Response.
Interpretation.
Adaptation.
Not as fault.
As continuation.
This is where the field tightens.
Because to include this does not deny what happened — but it changes the position from which it is held.
So it is removed.
Quietly.
We keep: You were affected.
And we stop there.
Because “not only”
introduces instability.
If more is included, the structure shifts.
The narrative opens.
The identity loosens.
And with that, something becomes visible that cannot be cleanly contained.
You are not only the one to whom something was done.
You are also within how it continues.
Not by choice.
Not by intention.
But by participation in the ongoing field of meaning, reaction, relation.
This is where responsibility could appear.
Not as accusation.
Not as burden.
But as access.
Access to where the experience is still alive.
Where it is shaped.
Repeated.
Held in place.
Without this, the experience freezes.
Becomes fixed in a single direction:
From event → to you.
With it, the direction multiplies.
From event → through you → into the present.
That is harder to hold.
So it is excluded.
You were affected.
But not only affected.
What is removed
determines what remains possible.
